Administrative Setup


The department is headed by the Secretary, who is supported by various officers and staff responsible for overseeing different areas within the department.

  • DIRECTORATE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP, TRAINING SCHEME & EMPLOYMENT (DCTSE): The DCTSE was constituted in 2010 and is headed by a Director rank officer. It monitors the working of all the Government ITIs in the state. The Government ITIs are affiliated to the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT), Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development &Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India and State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT).

 

  • ADMINISTRATION SECTION: One Additional Secretary, two Deputy Directors, two Assistant Directors, and two Under Secretaries manage the administration section, duly supported by both regular and non-regular staff.

 

  • STATE INSTITUTE OF CAPACITY BUILDING (SICB): SICB is the operational arm of Skill Development Department (SDD). All the various Central Government and State Government schemes regarding skill development of the youth are implemented by SICB.
    With the purpose of establishing full-fledged Institute for imparting training, transfer of knowledge and building stronger capacities of the unemployed youths of the state an Institute was formed, famously known as State Institute of Capacity Building(SICB) at Karfectar, South Sikkim, vide Cabinet Memorandum No.417/GOS/DOP/CB- 108/09 dated 17.11.2009.

 

  • ACCOUNTS SECTION: The Accounts Officer leads the Accounts Section, supported by one Senior Accountant, one Junior Accountant, and non-regular staff.
